Job Title: Research Analyst & Arabic Linguist

Salary Range: Hourly compensation (consultant status); rate based on experience
Duty Location: Tysons, VA with teleworking options

Position Summary/Candidate Qualifications
The Research Analyst/Arabic Linguist will review large volumes of Arabic and English language
documents as well as audio and video media files and provide reporting on common themes and
narratives of groups and individuals included in the content. The successful researcher will
place all relevant content gleaned from the documents and media files into its proper
geographical and temporal context whenever possible. Please note that this is currently an
independent consulting (1099 status) opportunity with the potential to grow into a fulltime
employment position. Work on this program counts toward NSEP-directed USG national
security service agreement requirements.

This current project is anticipated to start in early March 2018 and is anticipated to last for a
period of 12 months. All applicants must state that they are available able to make a 12-month
commitment when applying. As an independent consultant, the individual hired for the program
must provide his/her own computer.

Required Qualifications

• Level 3 or higher proficiency in Arabic (please provide certification documentation)

• 3+ years’ general experience (or equivalent advanced degrees)

• US Citizenship

Desired Qualifications

• USG National Security clearance

• Familiarity with geospatial tools such as ArcGIS, GoogleEarth, Tableau

Candidates should clearly demonstrate they are comfortable conducting research using Arabic
language materials and meet all other required qualifications in their application materials.
