Role Summary: This role sits at the intersection of development, operations, and security. You'll help secure our Docker-based deployments, support the CI/CD process, and integrate security checks directly into our local/offline infrastructure. You'll work alongside developers, AI engineers, and cybersecurity professionals to make sure every piece of our stack is robust and production-ready. You must be a US Citizen to be considered for this job.
Key Responsibilities:
Integrate and maintain security scanning tools in CI/CD pipelines
Support secure packaging and deployment of containerized servicesÂ
Manage and enforce secrets handling across environments
Assist in monitoring system logs, metrics, and security eventsÂ
Write Bash or Python scripts to automate system hardening, monitoring, and deployment tasks
Document security and operational procedures to support team handoffs and audits
Help harden FastAPI-based apps and locally hosted AI models against common attack vectors
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
US Citizenship required.Â
Hands-on experience with Docker
Understanding of software development pipelines (Git, GitHub Actions, or similar)
Awareness of application security concepts (input validation, authentication, etc.)
Familiarity with vulnerability scanning tools
Interest in building secure, offline-first infrastructure
Certifications: Security+, Linux+, or demonstrated experience in DevOps
Additional Requirements: The role requires presence onsite at the headquarters in Vienna, VA, every workday. Responsibilities include collaborating directly with the technical team, necessitating daily presence in the office.
Desirable Skills:
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
Exposure to FastAPI or Python-based microservices
Understanding of Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL, and RESTful APIs
Experience in air-gapped or low-connectivity environments
