Imagery Analysis Trainer and Instructor
Salary Range: Rate/Salary commensurate experience
Duty Location: Washington, DC Metro area and St. Louis, MO

Eligibility/Clearance Requirements: US CITIZENSHIP and TS/SCI Clearance

 

Position Summary

Deliver in-resident and distance learning instructional programs on imagery analysis. Use instructional methods, including guided discussions, lectures, demonstrations, small group exercises, seminars, workshops, and laboratories. Employ instructional technology in instruction and training, including Blackboard. Conduct assessment strategy in accordance with the course design, including instructor observation, testing, grading, and providing formal and informal student feedback. Apply subject matter expertise throughout the curriculum creation process, including content review and feedback to development staff. Teach instructional courses and leverage expertise in developing and delivering technical training and educational courses in academic, commercial, government, or industrial organizations. Leverage subject matter expertise in geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) sciences, technology, and data science.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience as an instructor or trainer in GEOINT and in one of the following fields: LIDAR, OPIR, photogrammetric, radar, spectral, or thermal infrared imagery science

  • Experience in the government operating environment within the IC, DoD, NGA, NSG, or ASG

  • Knowledge of GEOINT tradecraft and learning

  • TS/SCI clearance required; willingness to take a polygraph exam

  • BA or BS degree and 5 years of experience in instruction, science, and technology, MA or MS degree and 3 years of experience in instruction, science, and technology, or 20 years of experience in instruction, science, and technology ​in lieu of a degree

Additional Qualifications

  • Experience as an in-resident and distance learning instructor for a USG agency

  • Course instruction or teaching certification
