Desk Officer (SOO) (METRO Program)
Salary Range: Rate/Salary commensurate experience
Duty Location: Washington, DC Metro area
US CITIZENSHIP and TS/SCI Clearance w/ polygraph Required (no exceptions)
Position Summary
Desk Officers apply advanced knowledge and expertise of operations, operational tradecraft, and intelligence priorities when providing strategic guidance and operational case management. In addition, they are responsible for program management throughout the customer, from traditional operational activities to specialized initiatives. Desk officers will utilize customer-specific databases to conduct multiple layers of research and write summaries, reports, official correspondence, and guidance.
Education/Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s degree and at least 3+ years of relevant professional experience
Required Skills

Strong written and oral communication skills.

Developed expertise on a particular geographic region or transnational target.

Must possess excellent oral, writing, and coordination skills to communicate factual information clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, often under pressure and tight deadlines that meet or exceed established analytical standards.

Demonstrated skills with communication, networking, and problem solving.

Familiarity with cable writing styles and classified client databases, including specific targeting tools.

Senior and Expert positions respond to changes in analytical priorities and review work outputs of Junior and Mid-Level personnel. May supervise lower-level analysts.
